Seaview

Perched high above Second Beach in Middletown, Rhode Island, Seaview is a furnishings project designed for a family relocating from Massachusetts in search of a slower pace and a stronger connection to the coast. While they maintain a Boston apartment for city living, this home represents a quieter rhythm—one centered around family, natural light, and spectacular ocean views.

The home had already undergone a full gut renovation before Blakely became involved, allowing our team to focus entirely on furnishing and styling the interiors. Every room was thoughtfully curated to complement the home's architecture and maximize its incredible setting, creating spaces that feel welcoming, relaxed, and effortlessly elegant.

An important layer of the design involved tailoring the furnishings to comfortably accommodate one of the homeowners, who stands 6'8" tall. Furniture dimensions, seat depths, chair heights, and overall proportions were carefully considered throughout the home to ensure comfort without compromising aesthetics—a detail that speaks to the highly personalized nature of our design process.
