Blackstone

providence, Rhode island

PROJECT TYPE: Renovation & Furnishings

millwork: Robert Thomas Interior Architecture

PHOTOGRAPHER: Greg Premru

Situated in Providence's historic Blackstone neighborhood, this Colonial Revival home, originally built in 1910, has been cherished by the same family for decades.

After years of raising their children in the residence, our clients envisioned a refresh of the first-floor living spaces, including the entryway, home office, and formal dining room. Blakely Interior Design introduced custom millwork, tailored furnishings, and rich colors and patterns that complement the home's traditional architecture.

The updated interiors bring new energy to the residence while honoring the homeowners' collection of antiques and original artwork. The result is a layered, sophisticated design that celebrates the home's history and the family's personal style.
