Our experience with BID surpassed our expectations and we loved the energy, excitement and professionalism of the whole BID team. We had no idea what we were getting into and hadn’t furnished a home this size. It was important to us to find a partner who would take our feedback and we found that with BID. You opened up our thought processes on design and style and did things we wouldn't have thought of. From preconstruction to woodworking, from plumbing fixtures to a completely furnished home, you knocked it out of the park and provided us with a home that we never want to leave!
We are 100% pleased with the design and would encourage anyone with a big job like this to reach out to Blakely. We continue to be impressed with the space plan and redesign they did that involved moving the kitchen, pantry and office spaces. The flow and functionality have increased so much that we notice our quality of life has also improved. They had ideas about how to incorporate interesting elements like a steel factory window into the design where they’d imagined a wall of glass. The finishes and colors they chose have made all the rooms feel special. Janelle and her team are all high-energy, on-point professionals. We enthusiastically endorse Blakely Interior Design.
Absolutely amazing work. Blakely turned our little cottage from “not touched in 50 years” to adorable in a jaw-dropping transformation. They took care of everything - from the colors to the painting to the furniture to lots of very special details. Blakely wildly exceeded our expectations - I didn’t think it was possible to turn that place into this!
We were a little overwhelmed with all the decisions we faced in our significant remodel, so we enlisted the help of Janelle and her team. We were immediately impressed with their professionalism, knowledge and patience. They listened carefully to the myriad issues we were struggling with – from paint colors to furniture placement and kitchen materials. They very quickly ‘got’ our style and our priorities, and they did a great job of untangling our confusion. We definitely found our time with Blakely extremely helpful and will be coming back for more of their help.
By gently pushing me out of my preference for neutral colors and suggesting more complexity of color, as well as textures I never thought I would appreciate, Janelle and her team gave our family an amazing entertainment space with a rustic reclaimed wood bar and wrought iron fittings. They exceeded our expectations and pushed our limitations in what we thought we were looking for - which is exactly what you want out of your designer. Blakely was such a fun, creative, and professional team to work with. I loved the spreadsheet they created for us showing the low, medium, and high ranges for possible furnishings budgets… and I loved the reveal day! The entire Blakely staff made the process not only easy, but actually fun. Before we decided to hire them, we were completely overwhelmed and had no idea where to start. They were incredibly responsive to our questions and the design options they came up with were so unique - we would have never thought of them - and at the same time, they took our tastes into consideration. Janelle and her team are a pleasure to work with. She listened to preferences and kept our budget in mind at every turn, as well as the practical needs of our family. They are detailed oriented and responsive and helped to keep us on target, which was much appreciated. They planned and executed a lovely design which feels exactly like "us." It is a very livable and beautiful space; a home that is finally complete with the small touches. They’re also really amazing at choosing colors. I recommend them wholeheartedly. They made the whole renovation process much less stressful and certainly more beautiful in the end!
I have had a blast working with Blakely and watching our first floor take on a look that I love! I will be using them to redesign my entire home over time.
Requirements for our gut remodel of our ranch house near the beach were to give it coastal flair and functionality including storage throughout the entire house. Blakely Interior Design worked together with us on color palette and design. They gave us pros and cons on all our ideas with absolutely no pressure. They made this huge project much easier with their excellent taste and color ideas and by communicating directly with our contractor on specific design aspects and measurements. Best of all was their help with furniture choices and placement ideas for small spaces. Five Stars!
